Danish prince Frederik got married to Mary Donaldson on May 14th, 2004. We happened to be in town, and took some pictures.

The wedding ceremony was supposed to start at 4pm, and the couple would then drive through the streets of Copenhagen (between 5 and 6) where people would have a chance to greet them. This picture is taken at 1pm.

Lots of entertainment is provided for the crowds

People keep pouring to downtown

3 pm. Outside of downtown, streets are deserted.

Right after the ceremont, the royal couple will be taken through this street. Police is holding back the crowds.

The train of the dress is too long for even a TV of this size.

I counted at least half a dozen helicopters in the sky at one moment.

Now, was this picture really worth the wait? :-)
